After that, dip another soft cloth in the clean warm water to clean the soap residue. First, when you clean this kind of window, make sure that it is not in a hot temperature or cold temperature. Cleaning the window in the shinny afternoon or snow is not appropriate. The basic cleaning above must be done regularly to keep the aluminum windows clean and maintained. However if your aluminum windows have been already weathered you need a special way of cleaning. In this case, you don’t use dishwashing soap but ¼ cup of backing soda and ½ cup of squeeze of lemon. Use a spoon to mix the two ingredients in a bowl until it creates a paste. Dip a soft sponge in the paste and massage it on the windows to split the stain and deposits. Use a wet clean soft cloth to rinse the paste off and finally dries the frames with a dry clean towel.
